What is QuickBGRemove?

QuickBGRemove is a free, open-source background removal tool that uses AI to remove backgrounds from images instantly. Unlike traditional cloud-based tools, QuickBGRemove processes everything directly in your browser your images never leave your device.

How It Works

QuickBGRemove uses a neural network model that runs via WebAssembly (WASM) in your browser. On your first visit, the AI model (~40MB) is downloaded and cached. After that, all background removal happens locally on your device with no internet connection required for processing. This approach delivers both privacy and speed there are no server round-trips, no queues, and no data collection.

Why We Built This

Most background removal tools require uploading your images to remote servers, creating privacy concerns for personal photos, confidential documents, and proprietary product images. We wanted to build a tool that delivers professional-quality results while keeping your data completely private and making it free for everyone.
